Clinical Director

John manages the clinical aspects of the company’s operations including clinical safety, information governance, and ensuring TPP’s products reflect the latest medical practice and meet current legislative requirements.

Dr Parry graduated from the University of Cambridge with a medical degree in 1980. He moved to Yorkshire in 1985 to take a position as a partner at Holycroft Surgery in Keighley, with special interests in dermatology, oncology and palliative care. In his role as IT lead for the Worth Valley Health Consortium he commissioned TPP’s CEO Frank Hester to deliver SystmOne, recognising the benefits that sharing of clinical electronic health records bring to the delivery of patient care. Later Dr Parry took the role of clinical director at TPP, directing the clinical aspects of all products throughout the development process. He holds relationships with clinical experts around the country to make sure TPP’s company priorities align with those of the wider clinical community. John became a Director in 2005 and now leads a team of expert clinicians.

Dr Parry’s expertise as a healthcare specialist is internationally recognised. As a leading clinician and IT expert, he is frequently invited to give keynote speeches on a wide range of topics, including information governance and the role of IT in patient care.
