Messaging

Messaging in SystmOne comprises of three key types: Tasks, Notifications, and Instant Messaging. Tasks can be related to specific patients, sent to other caring organisations, and stored directly within the patient record for easy reference. Notifications can be dispatched to any SystmOne user and can include attachments, with each user having their own personal inbox to manage these messages. Instant messaging allows for real-time communication, enabling users to send pop-up messages to anyone currently logged into the organisation. This multifaceted messaging system enhances communication and collaboration across the practice, ensuring that essential information is efficiently shared and managed.

Tasks

  • Send patient-related tasks to an individual or a locally defined team.
  • Need a reminder or something to be done in the future? Simply schedule a task for the required date.
  • See real-time updates when tasks are updated by fellow team members.
  • Create administrative tasks for the practice, which are not linked patients records.
  • If a task is time sensitive, use the ‘due by’ field to set a deadline for completion.
  • Complete flexibility allows task types, teams, flags and re-direction rules to be configurable.

Notifications

  • SystmOne notifications function similarly to standard emails, but they are fully integrated into the system.
  • The contents of each notification are private and can only be seen by the recipient.
  • You can send a notification to any SystmOne user, regardless of weather they work in your practice.
  • Notifications are not saved in patient records and are not intended for clinical use; they are meant for operational purposes.
  • Like emails, you can send, reply to, and forward notifications.

Instant Messaging

  • Instant Messaging enables quick communication between staff.
  • The message appears on the screen for the recipient(s), who can choose to respond to or dismiss the message.
  • You can easily see if a colleague is busy or where they are located using on screen flags.
