CWHHE collaborative wins two ‘Healthcare Transformation’ Awards

A CCG collaborative working across London has won two awards at the Healthcare Transformation Event in London.

The Healthcare Transformation Awards celebrate the success and hard work happening across local healthcare systems. This year, the event was supported by NHS England, NHS Clinical Commissioners and the National Association of Primary Care. The awards took place on Wednesday 28th June, the evening of the first day of Health + Care Commissioning Show in London.

CWHHE CCG Collaboration won two accolades on the night: Innovation in Diabetes Care and Utilising Digital Transformation to Manage Population Health.

CWHHE Collaborative is the working partnership between Central London, West London, Hammersmith and Fulham, Hounslow and Ealing Clinical Commissioning Groups. The collaborative were nominated for the awards alongside the GPs from each CCG as well as the Public Health teams from the five boroughs, Diabetes user groups, Diabetes UK, and London Diabetes Strategic Clinical Network.

Dr Tony Willis, Clinical Director for Diabetes for CWHHE said “Most of the work to transform diabetes care across North West London has been driven by the use of SystmOne across 235 practices, delivering care to a combined population of 1.4 million patients. Having a shared Electronic Health Record (EHR) across our services has been instrumental in enabling the collaborative to deliver coordinated and informed diabetes care to our population. We’re delighted to have won these two awards – it is great see this work now being nationally recognised”
