TPP and EMIS team up for charity

TPP and fellow Leeds based health technology company Emis Health are coming together for a football match designed to raise thousands of pounds for charity.

The match, which will take place in Horsforth on Sunday 17th September, will feature eleven players on each team who currently work for the software firms. Emis Health will play in white, while the TPP team will play in blue.

Both companies will seek to raise sponsorship funds in advance of the match with two local charities to benefit. The Children’s Heart Surgery Fund (supporting the Congenital Heart Surgery Unit at Leeds General Infirmary) and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service will split the funds raised at the game.

The Children’s Heart Surgery Fund serves the whole of Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire and has mission to make the Leeds Congenital Hearts Unit a world-class centre of excellence. The Fund is currently committed to raising money for a revolutionary children’s heart theatre, based at the LGI.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service is a charity that relies solely on the generosity of individuals and organisations to help save lives across Yorkshire. They receive help through the secondment of paramedics from the NHS, through the Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust. To keep both of Yorkshire’s air ambulances in the air they need to raise £12,000 per day, which equates to £4.4 million a year.
