Automatic scheduling with new Autoplanner functionality

TPP is delighted to announce the launch of its intelligent staff scheduling functionality, Autoplanner.

Autoplanner automatically schedules visits across an organisation on a daily basis. It matches the right clinician with the right patient, based on geography, type of care needed or other specified patient or clinical preference.

The functionality greatly simplifies the process for visit management, which is often time consuming and complicated. It automatically finds the most efficient routes to reduce the distance and time staff need to travel for visits, reducing cost and optimising the amount of patients staff can see in a day. Taking into account staff time availability means visits are not missed and scheduling conflicts are avoided.

Autoplanner is highly configurable – assigned users can use sliders to modify the functionality to suit their organisation size and preferences. With mapping functionality integrated into the system, users can see a clear overview of staff location as well as time spent travelling, staff overtime and much more.

Following successful pilots in Leicestershire and Hertfordshire, the functionality will be made available in all relevant SystmOne modules this coming release (9th August 2018).

Sara Lowe, CHS Transformation Manager at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust, said “Although it’s early days, we’ve already seen some promising results from using Autoplanner. It is allowing us to give the right amount of time to deliver the right patient care and is saving clinician’s time planning. We’re looking forward to further configuring the functionality to benefit both staff and patients.”

More information about Autoplanner, and instructions on how to enable it, has been made available on SystmOne via a notice.
