Devon Partnership NHS Trust Goes Live with TPP SystmOne Mental Health
TPP are delighted to announce the deployment of the SystmOne Mental Health solution at Devon Partnership NHS Trust.
Devon Partnership NHS Trust (DPT) have selected TPP’s SystmOne Mental Health Electronic Patient Record (EPR) solution to support their digital transformation. DPT are specialists in providing mental health, learning disability and neurodiversity services for not only the residents of Devon County, but also the wider South West region and nationally.
This ten-year collaboration marks the region’s dedication to improving patient care, and the healthcare facilities and IT functionality for all, and proves a significant milestone in the One Devon vision: “equal chances for everyone in Devon to lead long, happy and healthy lives”. SystmOne is already deployed in local organisations: Torbay & South Devon NHS Trust, NHS Devon ICB and Livewell Southwest. The addition of DPT, combined with Children and Family Health Devon following in the New Year will support improved, joined up care across the whole region. This collaborative approach will allow for the unification of electronic patient records and standardisation of care pathways, supporting the One Devon ambition of delivering joined up care.
All delivered via the SystmOne centralised EPR, the platform will provide a connected and integrated care record across mental health, GP, community, urgent care and maternity services. By unifying these into a single technology platform, with different organisations accessing the same shared records, patients will only need to tell their story once. Additionally, SystmOne will enable DPT to digitise and combine all their services through a single electronic health record platform; this will provide more effective integrated care, streamline workflows, improve patient services and enable data-driven decision-making. This approach not only improves coordination among health and care professionals but also enables a more comprehensive understanding of patients’ medical and care needs.
Account Manager at TPP, Kira Cunningham, said: “We are delighted to be working with DPT. Their enthusiastic and rapid deployment approach is inspiring other healthcare organisations to accelerate their EPR implementations. This is a significant step forward for collaborative care across the region to improve patient outcomes. This implementation is essential as the clinical teams having access to a fully functioning integrated record will lead to better care for patients”.
Chief Information Officer at Devon Partnership NHS Trust, Rafael Sorribas, said “Our ambition for the digital transformation of health and care provision requires a truly person centred record, supporting shared care and greater access to information already held by the NHS. Three days after go live with a minimum safe configuration, we’re progressing quickly beyond those initial challenges of transition and using a stable EPR providing clear and obvious opportunities to benefit the people who use our collective services. We have much more to explore and features to exploit across Devon as we work together to redefine our boundaries and relationships in support of our population”.
