Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust successfully completes the implementation of SystmOne Mental Health, joining a growing network of Trusts
Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust has successfully completed the implementation of TPP SystmOne’s Mental Health module. This deployment will provide a single, integrated Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system across the Trust’s physical and mental health services, enhancing patient care and staff efficiency.
The Trust is a leading provider of integrated healthcare services across Hull, the East Riding of Yorkshire, parts of North Yorkshire, North and North-East Lincolnshire, serving a population of 765,000 people of all ages. The Trust offers a wide range of services, including community and therapy services, primary care, community and inpatient mental health services, learning disability services, healthy lifestyle support, and addictions services. It also provides specialist services for children and adolescents, as well as forensic support and offender health. The Trust employs over 4,000 staff across 80 sites.
TPP SystmOne enhances integrated care and streamlines operations across services, delivering the following benefits:
Centralised Solution: SystmOne enables the consolidation of patient records into a single, unified system. This provides a streamlined approach, eliminating the fragmentation of records across different departments and services. This is particularly advantageous for organisations with widespread operations.
Better Information Sharing: It’s not just about having everything in one place; it’s also about making sure that different care providers can see the information they need. SystmOne facilitates seamless communication between care teams, ensuring all relevant information is accessible for coordinated patient care. This level of interoperability means it’s easier for all involved in the patient’s care to share information, making for a smoother experience.
Saving Time and Boosting Safety: With SystmOne, healthcare professionals can quickly access comprehensive patient information, enabling timely decision-making and reducing time spent searching for data. This efficiency contributes to improved patient safety by supporting faster, more informed clinical decisions.
User-Friendly: TPP’s solutions are designed with both patients and healthcare professionals in mind, ensuring ease of use. It’s not just about having a system that works – it’s important to have a user-friendly solution which enhances their daily experience.
Mental Health Support: SystmOne has a specific module for mental health services which offers tools to securely manage mental health data. This helps break down the wall between physical and mental health services, making sure that both aspects of care are fully integrated and that data is easy to share.
Better Connected Care: SystmOne is already widely used to create a more unified network of healthcare providers. This makes sure that more services in the region can work better together, providing more seamless care.
Lynn Parkinson, Chief Operating Officer at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust, said: “It was important for our Trust to introduce a single, optimised electronic patient record for the benefit of our patients and staff. By implementing a fully integrated system across the breadth of our Trust, we can ensure seamless communication, improve efficiency and ultimately deliver more cohesive patient care.”
Abigail Palin, TPP Account Manager, stated: “This is a significant step forward for care across the region. It highlights that the implementation of SystmOne is not just beneficial for the Trust itself, but also contributes to broader improvements in healthcare across Yorkshire and the Humber.”
