Step Six: Enable appointment cancelling
Finding the preference
Log into SystmOne and make sure you have the ‘System Administrator’ access right.
Navigate to Setup > Users & Policy > Organisation Preferences>Online services> Appointment Cancellation.
Setting the preferences
- Choose whether to enable or disable appointment cancellations
- Choose to limit how close to an appointment time an appointment can be cancelled
- Choose to receive a Task when a patient cancels an appointment
When viewing their appointment in Airmid, patients are able to tap the ‘Cancel’ button.
If not enabled
If you haven’t enabled appointment cancelling, patients will still see the cancel button, but when they tap it they will be informed that they are not able to cancel the appointment.
