Following on from the success of the GP Connect Record Access: HTML capability, TPP has also become the first supplier to achieve Full Rollout Approval for the Appointment Management capability. NHS Digital’s GP Connect: Appointment Management is designed to enable clinical and administrative staff across the NHS to book and manage GP practice appointments.

Data sharing between GP clinical system suppliers launched on general release
Data sharing between TPP and EMIS Health is now available on general release. This allows clinicians across the health service who use the leading clinical systems to view vital patient information across different systems and care settings, including data from both GP and community records.
How technology will power the future of general practice
This week saw the launch of the Royal College of General Practitioners’ vision for the future of general practice, the ‘Fit for the Future’ report. Over 3,000 people - GPs, healthcare professionals, system leaders, and patients – helped developed the vision, with additional consultation from the King’s Fund.
TPP are first supplier to achieve GP Connect full roll out approval
Last week, TPP became the first GP system supplier to achieve full roll-out approval for Access Record: HTML as part of NHS Digital’s GP Connect programme. The programme ensures that staff across the NHS can access vital information from GP practice records. TPP’s full roll-out approval marks a major step forward for the national interoperability initiative. It will help to deliver better care for patients across care settings and improve coordination between staff working across primary care networks.
Success of TPP and EMIS Health Interoperability Pilot
In November 2018, Herts Valley CCG and Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust carried out a successful pilot of patient information sharing between the SystmOne and EMIS Web systems, allowing users to view the complete community and GP records across the area. The project provided nine EMIS Web GP sites with the ability to view and share patient data with 50 SystmOne community services, who in turn, could also view and share with those GP sites. This allowed clinicians to bring up a patient’s care record embedded within their current clinical system. The pilot was signed off in December 2018 and Herts Valley CCG are keen to roll the interoperability project out to the wider CCG area.
TPP SystmOne clinical records now available through GP Connect for authorised record viewing
TPP has successfully deployed the first wave of interoperability under the GP Connect programme.
TPP and CPRD collaboration
TPP and CPRD have agreed on a solution for GP practices using SystmOne to be able to send pseudonymised daily data updates of patient data to CPRD. This will significantly increase the amount and geographical spread of data available for research through CPRD. It will also enable GP practices to more readily recruit suitable patients for NHS trials, subject to relevant consents.
Automatic scheduling with new Autoplanner functionality
TPP is delighted to announce the launch of its intelligent staff scheduling functionality, Autoplannerutoplanner automatically schedules visits across an organisation on a daily basis. It matches the right clinician with the right patient, based on geography, type of care needed or other specified patient or clinical preference.
